Designer Hanny Dewar, of Hanny-d Creations and handmade by hanny is dedicated to sustainability in the fashion industry. Hanny uses primarily upcycled and recycled materials for all her one-off creations. Initially creating unique handbags and accessories, she has branched out into Indie and retro-styled clothing. Her practice is based on the ethos that “nothing should have to go to waste”, and she is constantly sourcing materials that are traditionally discarded. Hanny is keenly aware that people look for something that is individual or unique and consequently her designs reflect this. A custom made service is also available for those hoarders wanting to utilise their own favourite fabric.
