Hi, I’m Michelle the girl @ twelve oaks. I started my business at home, where I love to be…..which pours over into my “home-made” creations. I aspire to be at home creating daily; while real life work and family make it only part-time I continually work toward my dream of being able to make this my home business.

Although the name handmade@12oaks leads you to believe I live on twelve oaks drive, I actually live on Willow Bend with my 3 children (Jonah, Michaela and Addison), cat Curry and new Shih-Tzu puppy Princess Leia. Life’s many changes and adventures have taken me off of twelve oaks and plopped me down on willow bend, but the name remains the same where the dream began.

My favorite article to make is Aprons……….I just love them! Something about wearing an apron just makes me feel girly and ready to do some serious work; baking apple pie, cleaning up messes, finger painting, crafting, nurturing animals, wiping tears – the important stuff. I also am a bag freak, each morning I head off to work with at least 3 bags (that include several more small cozy bags inside) one for my regular “purse” stuff, the other my lunch, and lastly my papers/coupons/lists of things to do. Pup Fluff is my dog goodies, which I plan on expanding…. look for Leia sporting some new creations in my shop in the future. I am lucky to have a unique fabric shop nearby that caries vintage fabrics (4 rooms full) although it takes a lot of time rooting through everything I leave with something unique each time to work with. Lastly I am in love with my Pfaff! My sewing machine can do some heavy-duty work and gives my quality stitches and the ability to work with a variety of fabrics.
