I am an Architect by profession and I do photography for fun, its a newly discovered hobby.
Two months ago in November,2010 i attended a 15-day photography workshop. On the very first day everybdy was giving their introduction to the class and were telling abt their cameras; 8-megapixels,10 megapixels 12 was the maximum on frst day. I had a 14-mega pixel sony cybershot at that time. I felt so proud when i told abt mine to the class. After every1 was done with their intro I whispered into the persons ear sitting next to me,"I think i have the best cam in the class".We were told to bring our cameras the next day.
Next day when I entered the class I was amazed to see the cameras every1 had. These bloody big and heavy SLRs with all the lenses, bags and stuff. I had mine in my pocket. :$..*Embarassed*!!
Anyhow, the workshop went on and i used my fellows cameras to try what i was learning there. I am really thankful to them for being so sweet.
After the workshop ended i gathered all the money i had and bought a Canons1000D. I am loving it so far. After i bot the camera i had no money to buy lenses and a tripod. Frotunately, there was tripod in our house's store for ages. Its my dads. He too used to b into fotography at my age but then left due to work and stuff. Ive discovered this recently. He never told this before. So thanks to photography for this one :)..
So the equipment i have is:
Canon 1000D with the Kit lens (18-55mm)
35-105 mm lens (my dads, i dun think they make that anymore)
Tripod Slik SL-75 (my dads)
Canon 1000F body..my dads old film camera..but ive never used that..
Thinking of buying a new lens 75-300mm as soon as i have the extra cash. It has that IS function which i think will help in getting less blurry images in low-light.
Flickr has taught me alot. Seeing every1s work from allover the world. All this cool stuff at one place, its amazing.
Since, i am new to the photogrpahy so i am still exploring, learning the techniques and how r things done. So, any suggestions or information any1 wants to share is welcomed...:)
