2009 will mark 16 years of chasing from as far south as central Texas to as far north as South Dakota. I generally travel over 15,000 miles in a single storm season in pursuit of severe weather of all kinds. I hold an amateur radio license: WX5RFD. The most enjoyable aspect of chasing storms for me is simple - a verified forecast!
My work in the storm chasing arena is nationally recognized with video appearing on the Discovery Channel and The Weather Channel, CNN Headline News and Fox News, Good Morning America, ABC World News Tonight as well as regional media including ABC, NBC and FOX.
My storm photography has been presented in Shutterbug, USA Today, the Tulsa World and CQ Magazine, to name a few. You can preview some of my work on this website although any image or video of value is kept behind password protection due to increased thievery of online images. Members of the media may contact me for stock photos as well as video sales information.
You can follow along on storm chases from preliminary forecast to end of chase summary by visiting my blog. In addition to forecasting, I offer rants and raves on current events, chaser antics and whatever else I might find amusing on a given day.
