I am an amateur who started taking photographs this past December '07 with my new Nikon D40x. I'm enjoying the learning process and having a great time sharing my photos. I'm continually inspired by all the wonderful photos I see on Flickr. I'm drawn to bright colors, textures, natural light, close-up/macro shots and nature. My favorite subjects are my children.

Taking photographs makes me view the world through wider eyes. Every day objects are brought into focus, and they become more significant and beautiful to me. The true gift is that I retain this vision even when I'm not taking photographs. I love viewing the world this way.
