I used to shoot film years ago on something I don´t even remember what brand it was. My first SLR was a Canon 500 in my college years back in 1995. That one had a 28-80 lens and I used quite a bit until the digital p/s cameras started rolling out. I had a few p/s's through my work (as an engineer) and I bought few myself. This was more just to capture memories and moments.

Early in 2008 I bought my first DSLR, 400D and it opened a new world for me. For the first time I really went deep into the factors that make up a good shot like ISO, aperture, speed, bokeh, fokus and dof (to name a few).

Since then, I have sold my 400D for a 40D, sold that one for a 5D and now I have a 5D MkII which is the best camera ever built. It has everything I could dream of and combines everything from my old ones, adding even more to the equation. My equipment collection now consists of:

Canon 17-40 f/4L

Canon 24-70 f/2.8L

Canon 70-200 f/4L IS

Sigma 85mm f/1.4

Recently my 5D MkII tried to go for a swim with no luck... I decided to take a peek over to the other side :-)

Nikon 14-24 f/2.8

Nikon 85mm f/1.8G

Photography is a passion to me and I cant stay seperated from my camera more than overnight :-) and that puts quite some constraints on my travel since I have to have at least 2 lenses with me.

I have a wife, Aldís, four kids, Silja, Siggi, Ragnar and Gummi. We reside in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland (except for Gummi who lives in Akranes).
