The Friends of the Haggerty Museum of Art was formed by individuals who had the vision to create a membership group for the Haggerty Museum of Art after it opened in 1984. Friends’ goals are to support and sustain the Haggerty Museum of Art exhibitions and programs and to broaden the awareness of the museum. Their annual efforts include a membership campaign, and special events including the Spring Benefit and Fall Gala.

The Haggerty Art Associates group was formed in the early 1990s as the Friends young professionals group. They host an annual cocktail party, a family event and arts education programs for adults.
