I was born in munich, the city of Agfa, Deckel, Perutz, Steinheil and Rodenstock.

Many of these pionieers in photographic equipment and films still vanished away, but some of them are still going strong.

Therefore, Munich was the photographic capital of the german-speaking part of the world from 1840 to the early 60ties, when I was born.

I think, this might be one of the reasons, why taking a photo is such a great fun for me.

I started to develop my B&W-films in 1978, always in order to check out the best couple of the film and the developer. This is, after the picture in general, the ulitmative kick to me, and it will still be of great interrest, even if only scans will be made from the negatives.

Wich would be a pity, if you regard the sensual beauty of a baryte print....
