Meine ersten Fotos habe ich als Kind gemacht, mit einer Kamera mit fester Belichtungszeit und Blende in schwarzweiß, weil es damals billiger war als farbig. Später bin ich dann - auch aus Kostengründen- auf farbig umgestiegen und dann auf eine Spiegelreflexkamera.

Die Entwicklung durch die Fotolabore hat mir nicht immer gefallen, und so langsam ist das Fotografieren immer weniger geworden. Und als dann meine Kamera kaputt ging, habe ich sie für viele Jahre nicht ersetzt. In 2007 habe ich mir dann eine einfache Digitalkamera gekauft, aber sie bald wieder beiseite gelegt. Im Frühling 2009 hat mich das Fotografieren wieder interressiert und es ist derzeit mein wichtigstes Hobby.

I like that with digital I can take as many shots as I like without having to consider cost restrictions. And that I can make the development very easily on my computer.

I had taken nearly no photo over many years because I did not like the development from the photographic laboratories and was not able to have my own darkroom.
