About my photography

Photography is my hobby. Flickr is a fun way to socialize and talk about the photos we shoot and post. I have a great time taking photos, editing them and leaving some SOOC. I use an old version of CS3 and plugins, mostly Topaz Labs Software. I also use the hipstamatic app.

My equipment is:

Canon 6D & Canon 40D Cameras, and my Iphone 6 plus

Canon lenses; 50mm 1.2L, 24-105mm 4L, 28-135mm, 70-300mm 5.6, 10-22mm 3.5-4.5, 60mm macro 2.8 & 480ex flash

I like to post a large variety of subjects, ranging from signs, landscapes, people, animals and the obscure. I also post photos of my family, from days gone by, and I have a lot of 1970s slides, as well as ones from the 1950s/1960s. In fact, those are my favorite groups to scroll through on Flickr. I also post purchased old paper and photos. I never take anything off the internet and post it on my stream.

If you like looking at my photos, and want to make me a contact, go ahead, just drop a comment at least once in a while. If my photos aren’t your cup of tea, that’s ok, no hard feelings. Your photos might not for me. I never repost photos, unless it’s a special occasion to commemorate something.

About Me:

I was raised in Chicago Illinois USA, and lived in a few other places since.

I'm married to my best friend and soul mate. We currently (and temporarily) live in Northern California in the East Bay area. I’m a former, or you can say “retired” licensed social worker. I worked mostly with the geriatric population. I’m now a ephemera dealer. I deal with buying and selling old paper, brochures, postcards, photos, decals, labels, pamphlets and booklets.

I’m devoted fan of Craftsman style bungalows, genealogy, trees, tropical flowers, the beach and hiking. I like cooking healthy grain-free paleo foods. I like sewing, and dabble in drawing and painting.

I can’t go without saying. I am a Lyme Disease Warrior. I fight the disease every day working hard to get it into remission. I am saying this because, many people suffer needlessly with no diagnosis or the wrong one, the wrong test and the wrong information. Lyme disease is everywhere in the world, don’t let anyone tell you different, so if you have strange symptoms and doctors gave up on you, please visit www.ilads.org/ Most people that find out they have Lyme disease is because a friend or relative read something, and passed the info along. You can get better and you can live a normal life again.
