Guy is an image artist who puts thought and time behind his compositions, a photographer who doesn't get bogged down in technicalities but rather, intuitively, knows what he wants and is able to get it succesfully in frame after frame. His style eschews conformity and convention, whether it be in photographic angle, layout or subject matter; his vision is always unique whether he photographs people, places or his beloved daschund, Starsky. His urban landscapes show us a familiar world but through eyes that de-familiarise it for us, turning streets, buildings, schools, parking lots into images that exude strange and alienating light, like gems on ancient jewellery. I look forward to seeing more of Guy's innovative and original visions of his world.
