I used to have a bad flickr addiction, spending too much time here every day. I decided it had to stop and kept away for a while.

Then I got an iphone and loaded instagram and decided to start a new flickr account, but this time control it. I only access it from the phone and this time I do not do contacts. This way I spend less time on it, and usually on dead time: train journey to work etc - I still do miss my contacts from my old account but following them meant less time with my family. I will occasionally browse for pictures, and if you visit me and leave a comment or favourite I will pay you a visit back, but I will stop there. If I fave your picture without a comment or don't make you a contact please understand I do not mean to be rude; if you don't like this sort of flickr interaction please ignore my stream.

I still use my SLR - in fact I have recently upgraded to full frame and am the proud owner of a D800E, but I know that if I start flickr from a PC again I will not be able to control the time I spend on it.
