I'm just a guy here in St. Paul, Minnesota who's into panoramas, night photography, travel photography and the odd bit of astrophotography here and there. I started off college in art school (MCAD) studying printmaking and playing in bands, but wound up getting a degree in Chinese instead. I've been interested in photography for ages, and recently got a Canon S5 IS. After years of music and writing, this is opening up a new creative outlet for me. I first visited Beijing in 1997 and later spent 3 years living, studying and teaching there. Later this year will visit Taipei. Of course my camera is going with and I can't wait to "compare and contrast".
