Norwegian at large! I'm not really a photographer, just your basic tourist with an iPhone.

May 20, 2011 update: I bought a barely used Nikon D200 from a good friend, and added a refurbished Nikkor 55-200 mm lens.

June 22, 2011 update: It's now been a month since I got my D200 and started trying to learn to take good pictures. Lessons learned so far:

- There is so much to learn!

- Photography is part craft, part art and part black magic.

- Shoot what you got, it's the photographer, not the equipment (that said, I love my D200).

- Images need to "pop", or they're no good. POP, POP, POP!

- There are some really nice and amazingly talented people on Flickr.

- Forget about the buttons and settings and gizmos and shoot now, in a second it'll be gone.
