A Proud Legacy and Mission

The Grand Traverse Yacht Club was formed in 1960 as a small boat sailing club. Lightning class sailboats were the predominate class along with some larger cruising boats. The Club acquired and moved to the present location soon after and have called it home for over 45 years. The membership fleet is still dominated by small and medium sized racers but also includes a wide variety of cruising sailboats and powerboats.
