The driving force behind my click of the shutter is the feeling of that moment. A photoraph is esentially a frozen split second in time that is certain to never come again. When first started taking pictures, it was because I wanted to keep vivid in my memory a moment that made me feel happy. We all want to be happy and the moments we actually are, are the ones we want to treasure and not leave time fade them away. Proving this point, consider the ratio of the pictures taken during sad events to the shots taken during holidays, celebrations etc.

A beautiful image to me is the one that manages to do just that. Capture the moment. Not only show what is happening visually. The viewer has to be able to jump straight in and live that moment. Even if he never was around. Be actually there. Able to see, smell, hear and feel as if he is in this particular scene. Only then am I certain that this is the right frame.

The photographers's signature will be left in every image, unintentionally, that is his soul. A photographer finds joy in creating beautiful images. When everything falls into place, in harmony, through the viewfinder, at that moment only, will he release the shutter to create the image. But what defines this moment, other than the photographer's life experience? Even if 20 different photojournalists are capturing the same exact scene and click simultaneously, is there any chance that two images will look the exact same? Absolutely none. Simply because every image will have been captured by a different person. Every place this person has ever been to, every book he ever read, every music he ever heard, every bit of any experience he ever had in his life will contribute in creating this one image.
