I am retired.

I am interested in wildife and nature. I hope to teach others a little about our north - the True North Strong and Free - and along the way become a better photographer; through practise and viewing others beautiful photographs and reading about their techniques.

I am Cree (Nehiyaw) and a member of the Mikisew Cree First Nation in Fort Chipewyan Alberta. My Mom spoke her language fluently and I often wish we had been able to learn her language too but like many we were not given that opportunity.

I live on the southern shore of Great Slave Lake, Northwest Territories, Canada, in a small town called Hay River. It is a little north of the Alberta border. About 3800 or so people, fishing, marine shipping, manufacturing, some forestry, and service industries are the main activities.
