Cambridgeshire, UK, hobby photographer active for more than 50 years. I am not good at it, but I enjoy it. I grew up with Yashica rangefinders and progressed through assorted Pentax SLR's to my first digital camera, which was an Olympus C-5050. That was soon replaced with an Olympus C-8080. I have owned various iPhone's and I now shoot with an Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II.

Where possible, I like to provide external links in the description of my images. I try to use non commercial generic links, such as to Wikipedia, to avoid any accusations of commercial favouritism. My links should not rot but if they have, please do let me know via direct mail and I will fix it.

I read a little Spanish, Italian and French. I am a private pilot, though have not flown for about 15 years due illness. I am a bit of a photography geek. I get a kick out of the technicalities of shots and try to improve myself that way. I am told that I have a creative eye, but I would never call myself creative. I do try to upload straight-out-of-the-camera but I also post-process if I feel the image needs it.
