Although I have been taking photographs for many years, I did not take it up as a serious hobby until 2009, after my wife died. At first, it was something to do and helped to fight the depression of grief but as time went on, I found myself bitten by the photography bug :-).

In 2012, I undertook a 365 day photo challenge which made me think much more about photo creativity. It also helped me to "see" an image. I like landscape photography in particular but I also take photos of anything that I "see". I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I enjoy taking them.

I use Canon, a 5D Mk III, a 7D Mk1 and a 40D, with a variety of Canon lenses. I shoot in RAW and process using Lightroom. I sometimes use Photoshop Elements for sharpening only, as it has a better sharpening engine. I do not have Photoshop.
