As I know I am representing the 4th generation of "engineers" in the family.
My great grand father was mechanical blacksmith. Grandfather and father were engineers.
My interest with the photography started in the elementary school. Thanks to my father and a teacher in the school who organized a photo laboratory and course there.
Also continued in sec grammar school on a same way.
My first camera was a

Then my father's had a kind of Zenit from the E line, of course I could use that.
Then I bought a
set from Rolley :

I loved it very much, but the light metering went wrong and I sold it and bought a :

Then a bit lather as a bundle bought an other Minolta
body XG-E I think with a 70-210 zoom, I have to check.
My father moved to Canon, to the famous Pellix model, and later moved to Nikon.
In 2002 I turned to digital with Fuji S602z, my piece was the first in the country. Imported from DE some months before the HU announcement. I still love it, SuperCCD was and is still fantastic. The refreshment models were weaker I think.
Some year later my sons started to kayak racing and I needed superzoom.
Then I selected Panasonic DMC-FZ30.
Few years ago I returned to the SLR's world just in D version.
I wanted to by D5000 but in the shop I changed my mind and bought a D90 instead. I could not hold the D5000 it was too small to my hand.
D90 is a fantastic machine, still with the family. My Norbert is using it.
Nowadays the D7000 in used by me. I really love it.
Working very well for indoor sports and events with old Pro lenses.
I have only one problem with D7000. - Why Nikon does not producing it in an integrated portrait grip version? I would buy 2 in the first minute :o).
My sons' interest turned to indoor sports. So the portrait grip become more and more important for me. To target accurately with 70-200/2.8. I decided to manage an FX with integrated grip. I hunted for half year a secondhand D3s but it was impossible to find one.
I missed some D3, but I did not mind, I wanted D3s that time.
I checked every day the shops.
One day a D3 appeared again but with extended MEM (I use the single mode, but the extra buffer is needed not to miss the important actions) , so we found each-other...
That is my love now for wide and mid distances, and still the D7000 for longer...
I enjoy the freedom of the Digital Photograpy, but still trying to do good pictures as if it were a 35mm film camera.
My challenge is to reproduce the original atmosphere, colors, light effects what i find interesting.
I use just basic SW tools, Nikon ViewNX2 to reproduce original conditions, DxO Optix pro 7 to remove the optical aberrations sometimes, reduce the noises at high ISO, and crop sometimes.
