My name is Gary Richardson, I hail from Hampshire, in central southern England. I tend to specialise in landscape, macro, and wildlife photography, I rarely take pictures of people, unless its a wedding, or some other nasty social event. I've always had cameras, but never really got serious until the digital age came along, then at no expense, I could shoot off as many shots as I liked. With film, I hated waiting for the pictures to come back from the developers, only to find them covered in those helpful little advise labels. All basically meaning, I had wasted my money again.

When I got my fist DSLR, it was a toss up between Canon and Nikon, I eventually went with Canon, but I'm sure I would of been equally happy with either. I have had several camera bodies, and a shed load of lenses, but my current set up is as follows.

Canon 7D

Canon 50D

Canon 5DII

Canon 10D converted for infrared

Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM

Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM

Tamron SP AF 180mm F/3.5 Di LD [IF] Macro

Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM

Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM

Sigma AF 300-800mm f/5.6 Apo EX DG HSM

For the big Sigma lens setup, I use a Manfrotto MT057C3 057 Carbon Fiber Tripod, with a Manfrotto 393 head. My lighter tripod setup is a Manfrotto MT055 MF4 Carbon Fiber Tripod, with a Manfrotto 488RC2 ball head.

I hope you enjoy my photostream.
