I wish to be seen as a whole human being, rather than as the half-ling being female seems to mean in this culture.

And I like ma dollies!

I also enjoy crocheting, reading, writing, traveling and taking pictures of my grrrlz!

And the man-child, & by that I mean my boyfriend Will =^.^= and the 3 kittie-cats, too =^.^= I can't forget my breathing and furry family! =^.^=

I have a Master's Degree in Native Studies/Gender Studies. My thesis is entitled Sexing the Indian: Scholarship's Role in the Consolidation of Colonial Structures of Gender and Sexuality. I argued that culture is relative and that those who write about the culture of another tend not to see or record the culture they are observing but rather reiterate their own cultural assumptions of the natural instead, so that scholarship becomes a tool of colonizing hegemony, not an unbiased observation of another culture. I used various cultural constructions of gender and sexuality and the ideological and cosmological traditions from which they stem to illustrate the complete cultural relativity of something we take as a universal natural. Its 274 pages and the thing I am most proud of. :-)

It has now been published by VDM Publishing and is available on amazon.com www.amazon.com/Sexing-Indian-Scholarships-Consolidation-S...
