How do you get photos this good? Well you start out with talent (an eye) and curiosity, you combine it with a desire to master technique and huge enthusiasm. But to get really decent photos like this I think you have to be a decent bloke and Griff is one of the best. Griff's photos were among the first that made a real impression on me when i joined flickr. I feel really privileged to regularly enjoy his company out photographing and to be learning alongside him.
