I bought my first camera, a little Canon point-and-shoot, in high school so I could take better photos for the yearbook. Got more serious about photography because I love horses, and could readily shoot them at the horse races. Graduated with a journalism degree from Cal Poly Pomona. Spent about 12 years as a freelance photographer in Thoroughbred horse racing. Now shoot just for fun - at home, on vacation, and occasional events. My favorite type of photography to do is sports photojournalism.

I'm also an artist in drawing, painting, and other media, and post that work here, as well.
