Sitting in the office doing unpaid overtime one gloriously sunny Sunday in June 2007, I took a mad notion to buy a DSLR. Once a mad notion like that enters your head there's no shaking it loose, so I landed home that very evening with a Nikon D40x and a couple of lenses!

By the time the overtime was out of the way, 2007 had degenerated into a soggy, sodden, rain-lashed washout (nothing new there, then!)

I try to get out with the camera when I can, which isn't half often enough for my liking.

As you may notice from my photostream, I have no illusions of having any sort of artistic talent, but sometimes I snap something by accident that I quite like. I'm pretty sure statistical probability almost guarantees that sort of thing will happen once in a while, so I take no credit for the random elements of fate... :-)

One of these days I'll join a local club or enrol in a course... something to force my hand and make me get out there more often! :-)
