Hi. I'm Greg. Originally from Ohio, I now live in northern Mississippi and work in Memphis, TN. I also lived for 21 years in Uruguay and Argentina. I have always loved photography from back in the days when we had to wait for our film to be developed—unless you had your own dark room, which I did not. But, for some reason—which I cannot account for—I dropped that interest for many years and have only recently picked it back up, now having to learn anew in a digital age. For me, getting back into photography has been therapeutic; I do it for my own personal peace of mind. This renewal of my passion for photography has reminded me of the beauty of God's creation. It totally changes you. Whereas before, I went about life oblivious of the external environment, now I see photos everywhere. My wife does not complain when we are traveling and I shout, "I just saw a photo!." She'll say, "Well turn around and go back; you may never see it again" (though I can tell when she's had enough when I say "I just saw a photo!" and she responds, "So what?"). I love the Flickr community and invite everyone to comment and critique my photos. Let me know what you like and don't like about a particular photo. I want to learn; I want to improve; I want to stretch myself and explore. Though my main focus has been landscape and woodland, I like to experiment with all types of photography.
