Retired Detective from a mid-sized metropolitan police department. I spent a couple decades mathematically recreating fatality vehicular collisions in order to determine how, and why, they happened. I was also a certified forensic evidence technician (CSI/Crime Scene Investigator). Both jobs required a great deal of photography under some pretty bad conditions. I started shooting photographs in junior high for the school paper. I once wanted to be a photojournalist, but I have this strange aversion towards starvation. Over time, I've expanded my photographic repertoire and have recently managed a few exhibitions for some local galleries.
