I was born and raised in Hong Kong and moved over to Toronto, Canada some 20+ years ago.

I enjoyed traveling and took pictures to capture what I saw. I never learned photography or in fact was too lazy to learn. I liked taking pictures as a hobby but is million miles away from being good at that. I always believed that pictures are good way to document my past so that when I grow old I can look at the pictures and review what I have gone through and visited in the past years

I only started using digital cameras in late 2003. The first digital camera was the primitive Nikon CoolPix 4300 with its horrible 4 megapixels. I changed to the 10 megapixel Nikon D40X in 2008 but unfortunately cracked the screen on the last day of a trip in 2012. I then changed to use the 16.2 megapixel Nikon D5100 for the next 4 years. As my age advanced, I found it too tired and burdensome to carry heavy DSLR and the related equipment in traveling and decided to move on to Sony A6000 mirrorless camera in 2016. It was so much relief to carry a light weight camera that can produce acceptable quality pictures. I bought a Sony A6700 in February 2024 and started using it in March when I traveled to Finland. Actually, all these past cameras are only entry level ones. Anyway I am not a professional photographer and do not need those heavy professional grade camera. In fact I wouldn't even call myself an amateur photographer. At the most I am a guy who likes taking pictures. I like viewing other peoples' picture and appreciate their beautiful work and hopefully learn something to improve my work.

I joined Flickr as early as 2008 but only started uploading pictures since March 2017 after my retirement in late 2016. I plan to slowly upload my pictures from the past and upcoming travels. I just hope that the viewers will enjoy looking at my pictures and may recollect their own memories when they visited the same places in their past. Please also do not hesitate to give your comment if you wish!

As a side note, I tried to geotag most of my pictures, gave them a title and hopefully some brief descriptions as much as possible. I think a photograph will be more interesting when I know where it was taken and a little background information on the picture.
