Welcome to my flickr page, I've had an interest in all types of visual media since a small child; especially television commercials (I was always more attentive to them than the actual programming). My interest in nature, wildlife and the outdoors was fostered by my parents. We would go to Bombay Hook NWR regularly, summer vacations were spent camping and hiking in New England and upstate New York. My interest in photography was ignited and fueled by my father's subscription to National Geographic. All the incredible photographs and stories were inspiring, so much that I saved up from my high school job at the car wash to purchase a Yashica FX-2 35mm SLR with a 50mm f/1.8 lens to start my journey.

After high school, life took me in other directions and my passion for photography became buried and forgotten. With the advent of digital my interest was reignited and after several years (and cameras) I found the passion again and am enjoying it more than ever.
