Photography for me started in 2010, my step father handed me down his old Canon which immediately sparked my love for landscape, It opened my eyes to the surroundings, it made me stop and look.
I started noticing things I'd never really noticed before, cloud formations, colours, shapes of rocks, and light.
Photography drives me, motivates me to go exploring. Even on those cold and wet days, there's always a photograph to be taken and being based in Devon and Cornwall, there's no shortage of places to go. Within 20 minutes I can be along a dramatic coastline capturing the crashing waves, or stomping across Dartmoor in the fog.
As time goes by I've become more and more critical of my work, I'm inspired by others to produce something special to share.
Since upgrading my camera equipment and investing in a small campervan, I'm now travelling further afield, always planning road trips, driving through the night to arrive at a destination to capture the sunrise, locations such as Snowdonia, The Brecon Beacons, The Lake District and Scotland.
I keep my editing to a minimum and prefer to capture and share something real, those real life moments that can never be repeated but also invoke a sense of the "now".

I think we have a lot in common. Your idea of locations for photography are much the same as mine, and I was also involved in printing - in Plymouth as well. Where we differ is that your photographs are much better than mine. Fantastic
