Born and raised in America's Dairyland, my passion for trains began with my Grandfather and Father exposing me to railroading and model railroading. I was born watching the C&NW and the CWRC on the west side of Waukesha. I spent the rest of my time in the Spring City three blocks away from Wisconsin Central's "Main Yard". Four years of undergraduate studies put me along the Wisconsin Southern in Whitewater, WI. I then followed the City of New Orleans to Carbondale, IL were I put in three years of grad. school. Since 2004, I am a professor of ceramics at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT, enjoying New England passenger and shortline railroading.
