If you don't understand my "name", Google "Malibu's Most Wanted".

I've been shooting with real cameras for 34 of my 39 years on this planet. I've seen far more cool things than I will ever have the chance to shoot, but I'm sure that someday we'll all be looking back on the ubiquitous GEs and wonder what happened to them...

I started out with an dreadful 110 film camera at age 5. I used a Canon SureShot 80 for a few years until dad bumped me up to an SLR. A Minolta Maxxum 7000i was my weapon of choice during my teens. I got a Nikon LiteTouch Zoom 130ED QD to take on a couple of Scout trips just as digital was becoming a thing.

I made the jump to digital as a freshman at The Iowa State University with the Canon Digital Rebel. I spilled my bag and was forced to get a Rebel XTi as a Junior. I picked up a Canon Digital Elph [Powershot SD750 IS] to toss in my pocket when I didn't want to lug around the big guns. Soon after getting hired on with the UP, I had some cash on hand to upgrade to a 7D. With that job, I traveled a lot, so I sprung for an SX230HS to carry a bunch of zoom in a small package. It wasn't the most rugged of cameras and it got beat up so I ended up replacing that with an Olympus Tough TG-820. It's not the most fantastic with image quality, but it takes decent pictures and can withstand a beating and a dousing without dying.

More recently, I've upgraded to a 90D and/or occasionally the SX50 when I'm touring and don't want the bulk. I also use a DJI Mini 4 Pro for my whirlybird views and have an Osmo Pocket for the occasional video/timelapse.
