Green threads is a collective of young people who are committed to making clothing and textiles sustainable one garment at a time.

We are about recycling, rescuing, recirculating and refashioning old garments, fabrics and accessories, saving clothing from landfill and wardrobe purgatory.

The textile and clothing industry has a huge and often terrible impact on people and the environment, enormous amounts of chemical and material waste, exploitative labour practices and ridiculous amounts of transportation fuel use are just a few of its sins.

Green Threads is based on a commitment to sustainability and reducing this impact in a way that is exciting, fun and doesn’t sacrifice style in the process.
