Sono nato a Treviso il 2 giugno 1965.

Ho iniziato a fotografare negli anni ottanta, da ragazzo, con reflex analogiche, prediligendo l’uso manuale delle stesse rispetto agli automatismi che allora cominciavano ad affacciarsi nel mercato; inseguendo dettaglio e precisione, sono quasi subito passato al medio formato.

L'avvento del digitale ha semplicemente modificato la quantità degli scatti, non la qualità… e le nuove reflex full frame, assieme ai software di fotoritocco mi hanno restituito il piacere di curare la post produzione per ottenere le immagini pensate, volute, desiderate.

Le geometrie, i dettagli, i forti contrasti di luce ed ombra, ma anche le ridotte profondità di campo sono ciò che più mi appassiona.

Sono innamorato della mia città, Treviso, e ne percorro assiduamente le vie in cerca della luce giusta, per conservare nel cuore (e nell’hard disk) ritagli preziosi.

Un’altra passione, molto più recente, è la poesia, che mi ha portato a conquistare due primi ed un secondo posto in altrettanti concorsi nazionali. Il mio intento è quello di coniugare testi ed immagini, in modo da legare indissolubilmente le due discipline artistiche.

In campo professionale ho ottenuto notevoli soddisfazioni collaborando ad importanti progetti, anche con architetti internazionali del calibro di Richard Meier, Norman Foster, Manuel Aires Mateus e Massimiliano Fuksas; per Treviso ho contribuito, tra l’altro, a riqualificare gli spazi urbani della ex fabbrica Dal Negro, ideando, assieme a due Colleghi, e poi seguendone l’edificazione, l’attuale centro polifunzionale e parcheggio “Dal Negro”, in prossimità del portello Sile.

I was born in Treviso / Italy in June 1965.

I've started with an Olympus OM10 in the eighties, when I was a teenager. Then with a more complicated OM40, and suddenly after I used a Rolleiflex for some medium-format images.

From the beginning of the digital era I'm buying only Nikon.

Poetry raised in me after my mother's death, in August 2006.

I'm trying to join my poems with my pictures.

I usually don't use Adobe Photoshop or similar.

And the very few times I use it, is only for some little crop or for the correct balance brightness/contrast.
