Nixon (R-Cal.), takes a close look at one of the microfilm strips he brought to the Federal Court Building in New York to show to the Grand Jury probing a pre-war Red Spy ring. Later in the day, Rep. Nixon was placed under subpoena by the Grand Jury. He announced he had no intention of giving up the microfilms of about 200 stolen secret government papers, recently brought to light by Whittaker Chambers.
