I've only known Nikki for a short time, and it already feels like she's someone I've known forever. It takes an Aussie to know an Aussie, so her sentiments and comments usually go straight to the core. The humour is what I miss most of all about home, so KEEP IT COMIN' ! Nikki, you're one of a kind, and there aren't too many left I can say that about. You restore my faith in humanity, and for that alone I'm on my bended knees with gratitude (bugger.... now I can't get up; damned rheumatism!) A Canon 300mm f/2.8L is sitting here waiting to be delivered to it's new home in Brisbane when my wife & I visit Nikki & her friend in November, so expect even better shots to be added to her heart-warming collection in the future. Nikki is one of the first people I got to know on Flickr...and I feel privileged. Half my work is in wilderness areas, the other half is stuck in front of couple of computer screens, one of which usually has a tab to Flickr in the last couple of months. When Nikki posts a shot or leaves a comment, I get a real lift, because I know I am communicating with a good person! Her support and enthusiasm is also reflected in her photography which has a character quite unique, I can't put my finger on it. We share a love of the natural world and you can see it in her shots. Nik, to coin a good Aussie phrase "You're a champ!" .... and in my kiwi accent I also say "Nik, you're choice!"....check out her tiger shots everybody!
