When I started out in Dec 2009, I had left photography behind for 2 years and was rusty with the technicalities of handling a DSLR. And it shows in my pictures- I frequently shot at the wrong shuttle or aperture, or shoot throughout at high ISOs. I still make simple mistakes like forgetting to reset back to RAW from JPG.
However, I know that to be a good photographer one must not only know stuff and see things differently, one must also feel the essence of things and reveal it through the photos.
Now am trying hard to imbue my photos with emotion and tension- rather than trying to capture everything. My photos are very dull when I get too focused on technicalities.
Update: I'm now doing project 365- join me if you can.
