Is photography art?

For me if I see something that catches my imagination, I then visualize the finished imagine. I do as much as I can in camera, I’m not a fan of post so I keep that to a minimum. Is this the proper way to do photography? No it is just my way of doing it. If the image is as I imagined it then I am likely to show it.

If it causes a reaction in other that is goody. Positive and negative reactions are accepted. But thoughtful reactions are are welcomed with open arms and I then analyze them.

Am I an artist? No I am just a guy that for the most part knows what my images are going to look like before I press the shutter.
