Well what can I say.

Im quite new to photgraphy having never ventured near a DSLR until October 08. In fact, prior to that I didnt know what DSLR stood for. :-) I started off with a Sony A350 and a few digital camera magazines and have tried to teach myself something new every month.

In April this year I upgraded and am now the proud user of a Nikon D300 ( no holidays for me this year ).

The subjects I enjoy photographing most are Landscapes generally at sunset with either long exposure or HDR treatments. I do a bit of Macro now and again when the sun is shining and the bugs are out.

Projects for the future include portraits for which I'll need to buy some flash and possibly another lens. ( a 50mm 1.8 should do nicely) I just need to get that past the leader of the opposition ;-0.

Update.

I've decided to try and post at least one picture every time I venture out with the camera regardless if the pictures are good, bad or indifferent. My reasons for doing this is to try and motivate myself to be more carefull with the shots I take, to think more and shoot less. I tend to overshoot quite a bit. 15000 images in the 9 months since I bought the D300, is that some kind of record? The vast majority being confined to the duplicates bin. If you see somthing horrible please let me know. Positive feedback is also appreciated.

I havent updated this for a while. Im now shooting with a Nikon D3 which was bought in a moment of madness. Now that Im used to it it dosent seem quite so mad. I just wonder why I didnt do it sooner. Im still in awe of the shots it can capture. The lenses also had to get a makeover and I use the following

Nikon 16-35 F4 VR2

Nikon 24- 70 F2.8

Nikon 70-200 F2.8 VR2

Nikon 80-400 VR

Nikon 50 1.8

Sigma 105 F2.8 Macro
