My goal as a photographer is to bring to light the beauty of the world and people, in a new and, if possible, unusual ways. I see the world in a different way. Every object and person has a personality that can be displayed in a photo. I want to share those personalities with every person who sees them. I love taking black and white photos. I try to use leading lines, and repetition, as well as rule of thirds, when I take photos. I have always loved photography. When I was young, I would take my mother’s camera and take pictures of the animals and of friends. Photography is not something that I plan on making a living from, but I plan on taking photos as a hobby for the rest of my life. I am almost 16 and a sophomore in highschool. I enjoy taking all kinds of photos, ranging from portraits to nature photos. Taking pictures of children are, though difficult, my favorite kind of portraits to take. Ansel Adams has been a huge influence for me. I have been attempting to get as full of a range of color in my black and white photos. So far I have not been able to get the same affect. Alycia White has been my influence for portraiture. Her photos of children are all very well put together. She takes some photos in black and white, but most are in color. She is a local photographer, and I have got to see her work. She also gives me tips on how to improve my photography. I love Photography and hope to continue to grow in skill and taking photos.
