Hello Odd; I want to thank you for your generous testimonial of my work. It must be a tremendous amount of work keeping track of as many groups as you do.. I find your groups to be attracting a lot of really talented people on Flickr. Since this Pandemic began I have been in my home keeping busier than ever on my computer. The weather here in the Winter makes it hard to walk around taking pictures. The overcast sky and bare trees force me to wait until better days out there. So, I fall back on a bunch of old stuff that I left behind over the years and looking at it with new eyes. What looked unusable years ago look interesting to me now. I have studied photo editing since then and what was useless then is valuable now. I have been studying the tutorials on YouTube. I try to keep growing. There are a lot of very smart people on YouTube and I find that if I follow the same tutorial several times I can learn it. Most recently I have experimented with focus-stacking. What a wonderful thing to be able to do. I am discovering that there are many other things that I haven’t tried yet. I have been looking at your paintings and now I see you must have been an artist before you were a photographer. You are very talented. Your portraits are wonderful. The colors are beautiful and I notice that you are sticking to film photography. Doing that effects the colors too. I used to do drawing and painting many years ago but I wasn’t really doing much original work. I was mostly copying other peoples pictures trying to duplicate the effects with the materials. A lot of what I was studying to draw and paint came in handy when I got a camera. The composition principles are the same. I would like to thank you again for you testimonial.
