Gowanus Open Studios (presented by AGAST) is October 15th & 16th, Noon - 6:PM, 2011.

For 15 years artists around the Gowanus Canal have been opening our studios to the public. In the intimacy of our studios, visitors meet working Brooklyn artists, buy art, see the creative process, and discuss method. Our studios are in industrial buildings, garages, brownstones and warehouses. We’re a melting pot of aspiring, professional, and amateur artists. We paint, sculpt, install, photograph, draw, print, video, mix media and throw clay.

The Gowanus is at the juncture of Park Slope and Carroll Gardens, near Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill and Red Hook. Walk, bike, kayak there, or take the bus, subway, LIRR, or car.
