In June 1989, a group of five ladies met for the first time in what was to become "Gourmet Group.'

Over the years we've had new members join, others leave; we've been there through the births of children and the deaths of parents.

But every year, for 30 years, we've managed to find a way to get together at least a half dozen times to cook, to laugh, to catch up, and to enjoy each other's company.

The premise is simple: Each time we meet someone is the hostess, while each of the others are responsible for one of the other assignments. Those include Appetizers, Communion (wine and bread!), Salad, Main Course, and Dessert.

In 2020 we encountered a huge roadblock with the COVID-19 pandemic. But I hold out hope that we will be back on track soon.
