Hello, fellow Flickrites!! For those of you who are interested in learning about people here in Flickrland, here's a little about me. I'm a mother of one son (age 23) and have been happily married for 18 years!
I have always liked taking pictures.... and now I can't leave my house without a camera!! I am relatively new to the world of photography and don't even have the terminology down yet, but I am learning. Feel free to help me out with any suggestions!!
I've been taking pictures for years. I've owned 110 mm film cameras, Polaroid cameras, and 35mm point and shoot cameras. My first "real" camera was a Christmas gift back in 1990's... It was a Canon Rebel 2000. However, I got my first digital camera for Christmas (2006), which is my Sony DSC H5. I do love that camera, but I really wanted an upgrade, so for Mother's Day (2007) my husband (really wonderful man!!) bought me my Canon 30D!! This camera came with a Canon EF 28-135mm ƒ3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. I've never gone back to film, even though I've been told I should try it again...
As for subjects: I have no favorite. If I see something that I think is beautiful or interesting, I shoot it. With my camera of course! Lol! Landscapes, flowers, children, waterfalls, insects, etc. Doesn't matter. I'm an equal opportunity photographer! Hahaha! ^_^
UPDATE!! I have new lenses!! My amazing hubby was overly sweet and bought me the following lenses for my birthday and mother's day (2008):

ANOTHER UPDATE!! (August 2008)
Due to our upcoming vacation in Universal Studios I am now the proud owner of the Olympus Stylus 1030SW camera which I am very much looking forward to using!! I've been wanting a new point and shoot.... I love them for going to concerts and whatnot. Guess what my loving hubby got me for Christmas. Yep! A new point and shoot! I am now the proud owner of a Canon PowerShot SX30 IS. ^_^ If you would like to see what this particular camera is all about just click here.
