Does anyone ever read these things ?
I'm a point and shot kinda guy .
and take wayyyyyyy to many pics
I would do more processing if I could but .....................
I have met some wonderful people and supporters on flickr whom I am very grateful for
My first foray into photography was as a 5 year old with my new adoptive family . My new father fancied himself as a photog and had a great BW darkroom and a Kodak 4X6 press camera he let me use , with very close supervision .
I still have those albums , and pictures , from the early 50's , and they are a pleasure /treasure to look through .
The memories that are recalled from seeing a pic is always more than just what is seen , I can recall the day . the temp, the event and the sounds . They are akin to open a door on history a crack and everything floods in enveloping me in a far away place and time .
My first 35 mm was a Canon AE1 , probably the most abused camera ever .
I dropped it and cracked the mirror--still worked fine
I dropped it in the ocean - quickly opened it and dosed it with a bottle of gin and let it dry in the sun --worked perfectly !!!!!
It was eventually stolen and it was a while before I got back into taking pics. Life got in the way .
Seven years ago I had a heart transplant and as life was forced into a slower pace I bought a little pocket fuji and then a fuji S5700 -luved that camera and met a great group of like minded fuji people in the fuji group
Last year a wonderful benefactor , who shall remain anonymous , bought me my Canon T3i , like a said , I have met some wonderful people on flickr !
I can never thank him enough save to try to raise myself to his life standards .
I would like to think that somewhere someone is enjoying something I have posted and if anyone wants to copy . download and use anything it is my pleasure to say =" Have at it " A minor touch of immortality I am happy to share

Art is an artist, a special person. He is young and will be forever young. Observer, strong extrapolator, excellent composer. A lively mind, a great sense of humor.
I really should have said this before; Arthur is Master of the Shadows! He is a truly great flickrian, supportive and insightful and funny.
I don't know why I didn't write a testimonial for Art like last year. I don't know why I didn't write a testimonial for Art like last year. All his pictures are different and each uniquely creative, really interesting and makes his images really different and original - especially when about reflections and abstract compositions which I appreciate the most on his Photostream... His comments on (my) photos are so constructive, clever, revealing a great sense of humor & a vast intellect. He was also one of my first contacts here on Flickr and that says something because in the beginning I didn't add anyone ;-D Thanks Art. Keep up the good work !

gottanew1 is a very sensitiv person. He shows us some common images turned into special images through light and natural colours. Sometimes surprises us with tremendously beautiful spots. Thank you for sharing :))
