I am a keen amateur photographer with no particular genre to follow and consider myself a little old school in as much as I like to capture the end product "in camera" so far as I can. Old habits from using film die hard and I think stand me well. I do make good use of software to optimise and enhance my results but I stop short of creative work as this genre of photography does little for me I am afraid.

Photography is a lot more than just pressing the shutter control, it gets you out and about, opens yours eyes and widens your vision of everyday life. I find all of this to be very relaxing and satisfying, even more so now that I have been able to retire to Cornwall in the South West of England and enjoy all that this area has to offer.

Being an active member of St. Agnes Photographic Club and Desborough and Rothwell Photographic Club brings a social dimension to my activities and allows me to get alongside like minded colleagues and broaden my outlook by getting close to the way others work to achieve their results. I find that critique is the best way to learn and improve.
