Ever since my Grandmother took me to visit my Great Uncle Lester's meticulously landscaped yard, I've wanted a garden worthy of him. Sadly, he's gone now, so I can't ask him for advice. It's up to a new generation of trial and error in the backyard. I have a garden that I share with my Mother-in-law, lovingly called Kronk. There are fourteen 4'x8' beds with my name on them in the sunniest part of the yard. My gardening credentials consist of lots of reading, trial and error, advice from the old guys (and my mom) and the repeated attempts I make at a homegrown buffet.
