I am a keen hobby photographer who first took up photography 'seriously' whilst at college in Plymouth, England, back in '75 and who has been an enthusiastic photographer ever since. I started out as we all did then using film, developing and printing my own B&W where possible whilst using labs for colour.

I resisted digital technology initially, "It'll never match film for quality!" but am now a fully paid up digital fan, enjoying the freedom that it gives us to experiment and create as well as the incredible quality digital technology brings. ;-)

My first love is colour landscapes but I find I am trying more genres as I develop.

My digital editing teeth were cut using Photoshop Elements though I now select from any combination of the DxO Nik Collection, Lightroom, Photoshop, Topaz and Luminar, whichever suits the image. Whilst I feel that I have cracked basic camera use, my mastery of these editing programmes remains sketchy but I am enjoying the learning process.

Whilst I positively welcome comments, critique and criticism, invitations and plaudits even, I'd rather not receive 'awards' such as spinning or flashing icons or suchlike mawkish nonsense telling me which group you saw my image in, please do not leave any such on my Photostream and save me the bother of removing them. If you like or dislike any of my images or can offer advice or suggestions, please do so in plain English and leave the nonsense to Messrs Facebook, Twitter & Co. Thank you.

I have no interest in AI or second life nonsense and do what I can to avoid it.
