Redneck, smart-ass, wanna-be photographer... ;)

I live in a small town in Utah called Price. Born and raised here. I LOVE the small town life, I feel uncomfortable in the city. My road rage tends to get outta control around all them cidiots. ;) I'm a smartass, and I love a good laugh. I live in the heart of Utah's coal country and grew up a coal miner's daughter (and grand daughter, sister, niece, cousin, wife, etc.). I love photography, and one day hope to be decent at it. I love just going out into nature and capturing the beauty around me. I definitely prefer the nighttime over the day. Everything just seems to take on a totally different personality at night. Even the ugliest or most mundane things can look beautiful at night. I sometimes (okay, ALWAYS) take way too many photos, usually of the same thing. I tend to post a few different shots of the same subject. I'm indecisive and change my mind all the time, so it's easier to calm the voices in my head by posting the same shots. A lot of my photos are taken on the fly. I have a bad habit of slamming on the brakes in the middle of the road to snap a quick pic, or having my passenger steer the car while I hang out the window. A lot of time, photo quality (especially my HDR) is the unfortunate victim in that case. But hey, I'm not a pro, not here to make money, and not in competition with anyone but myself. Photography for me is a means for retaining my sanity. =)

I love constructive criticism. I believe everyone always has something to learn. But if you're only here to tell me that my picture sucks and that you can take a better photo than me, keep on truckin. And I hate to break it to ya, but there's always going to be someone better than you. So put that in your pipe and smoke it. :P
