Our flickr site celebrates the peaceful countryside that is our natural home. We hope you enjoy the images we are recording and sharing here! And perhaps you'll help us to keep an eye on our elected officials to be sure that they are remembering the interests of farmers, small businessmen, homesteaders, and working environmentalists all over North America.

Our photographic contributions will be primarily about our own environment in and near upper Wisconsin. As flickr is the photo-sharing site, we are taking advantage of the many beautiful photographs contributed by members all over the world to build galleries showcasing all the states, provinces, and territories of North America. It's a learning project for us which is growing slowly. Check our galleries from time to time to see what's new there!

Following years of struggle during which we, along with many others, lent our energies to the ultimately successful effort to protect environmental waters in northeast Wisconsin from potentially devastating sulfide mining, we have now turned our attention to the plight of small rural business owners as they become ever more marginalized by big business and the depopulating countryside. We have managed a modest living over the years in part by providing web services at nominal cost to environmentally related non-profits, and have lately decided to put more energy into these activities, especially on behalf of small-town businesses. "Good Simple Sites" aptly describes both the home towns of our clients and the services we provide them, and is the name of our business.

Our newest site, NetworkBees at www.networkbees.com, is dedicated to helping bees. The site, blog and facebook page collect and share information about bees, colony collapse disorder, beekeeping and beekeepers.
